At BuyCeylon.ca, we are committed to ensuring your complete satisfaction with every purchase. If for any reason you are not happy with your order, please review the following guidelines. By shopping with us, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy. Our team is always ready to help — don't hesitate to reach out.
Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must meet all of the following conditions:
- The item must be unused, unopened, and in its original packaging, in the same condition as received.
- A return request must be initiated within 3 days of receiving your order. Requests submitted after this window will not be accepted.
- Certain items may be exempt from returns for health and safety reasons (see Section 2 below).
- The item must not be marked as Final Sale or Clearance at the time of purchase.
- You must have a valid proof of purchase (order confirmation email or invoice).
- Items purchased as part of a bundle or promotional set must be returned as a complete set — partial returns of bundled products are not accepted.
Non-Returnable Items
For health, hygiene, and safety reasons, the following items cannot be returned or refunded under any circumstances, unless they arrive damaged or defective:

To initiate a return, please follow these steps carefully. Returns sent without an RMA number will not be accepted.

Contact Our Support Team
Email info@buyceylon.ca within 3 days of receiving your order. Include: your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, reason for return, and photos if applicable. -
Receive Return Authorization (RMA)
Once we review your request, we will email you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return shipping instructions within 2 business days. -
Package Your Return
Securely repack the item in its original packaging. Clearly write your RMA number on the outside of the package. Do not return items without this number — they will be refused. -
Ship the Item
Send the package to our returns address (provided in your RMA email). We recommend using a tracked shipping service. BuyCeylon.ca is not responsible for items lost in return transit. -
Confirmation & Refund
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you by email. If approved, your refund will be processed within 1 business day.
Refunds
Once your returned item is received and inspected by our team, we will notify you by email of the approval or rejection of your refund.
- Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the original shipping charge will be deducted from your refund amount.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout only.
- If your return is rejected, the item will be sent back to you at your expense.
- Partial refunds may be granted in cases of partial damage, missing accessories, or items not in original condition.
Late or Missing Refunds
If you have not received your refund within the expected timeframe, please follow these steps before contacting us:

Check Your Bank Account
Review your bank account or credit card statement thoroughly, including any pending transactions. -
Contact Your Bank or Card Issuer
It may take 3–10 business days for a refund to appear, depending on your financial institution's processing times. -
Check Your Email
Ensure you received our refund approval email. Check your spam/junk folder too. -
Contact Us
If you've completed the steps above and still haven't received your refund, please email us at info@buyceylon.ca with your order number and we'll investigate promptly.
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective, damaged upon receipt, or if you received the wrong item. We do not currently offer size/variant exchanges for change-of-mind reasons.
- Contact us at info@buyceylon.ca within 3 days of receiving your order to request an exchange.
- Include your order number, photos of the defect or damage, and confirmation of the item you'd like as a replacement.
- If the same product is no longer available, we will offer you a store credit or full refund.
- Exchange shipping will be covered by BuyCeylon.ca when the exchange is due to our error (wrong item, damaged/defective product).
- Exchanges are subject to stock availability at the time of approval.
Damaged or Defective Items
We take great care in packaging all orders. However, if your item arrives damaged or defective, we will make it right — quickly and without hassle.
- Email us at info@buyceylon.ca within 3 days of receiving your order.
- Include clear photos or a short video showing the damage or defect, along with your order number and item name.
- Upon review, we will arrange a free replacement or full refund at no cost to you.
- If the item was damaged in transit, we may also file a claim with the shipping carrier on your behalf.
- Do not return the damaged item unless specifically instructed to do so by our team.
Return Shipping Costs
The responsibility for return shipping costs depends on the reason for the return:
- Change of mind / unwanted item: Return shipping is the customer's responsibility. Costs will be deducted from your refund if a prepaid label is provided.
- Damaged, defective, or wrong item: BuyCeylon.ca will cover return shipping costs in full. A prepaid return label will be emailed to you.
- We recommend using a tracked and insured shipping method. BuyCeylon.ca is not responsible for return packages lost or damaged in transit.
- Original outbound shipping charges are non-refundable in all cases.
- If a prepaid return label is provided and not used within 14 days, it will expire and a new one may not be issued.
International Returns
For customers ordering from outside Canada, please note the following additional conditions:
- The same 3-day return window applies from the date of delivery confirmation.
- All international return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility, including any customs duties or import fees incurred.
- Please clearly mark the package as "Returned Merchandise" on customs documentation to avoid unnecessary duties.
- BuyCeylon.ca is not responsible for items held, seized, or lost by customs authorities.
- International refunds may take 5–15 business days to appear depending on your local banking institution and currency conversion.
- We recommend contacting us before initiating an international return to discuss the most cost-effective method.
Final Sale & Clearance Items
All items marked as "Final Sale" or "Clearance" at the time of purchase are sold as-is and are subject to the following conditions:
- Final Sale and Clearance items cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged for any reason, including change of mind.
- No further discounts, price adjustments, or promotions can be applied to these items after purchase.
- By purchasing a Final Sale or Clearance item, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the product description and accept the item in its current condition.
- The only exception is if the item arrives damaged or defective — in which case our standard damaged items policy (Section 7) applies.
Consumer Rights (Canada)
As a Canadian consumer, you have rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (Ontario) and federal consumer protection legislation. Nothing in this Returns & Refunds Policy is intended to limit those rights.
- If a product is not of acceptable quality, not fit for purpose, or not as described, you are entitled to a remedy under Canadian consumer law.
- Statutory rights related to product safety and quality cannot be excluded or limited by our store policies.
- You may have additional rights under the Sale of Goods Act (Ontario), including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness.
